Fun Fact Friday: Tami’s favorite place in town is Carroll’s Woods

Fun Fact Friday: My favorite place in Rosemount is Carroll's Woods, closely followed by Schwarz Pond. There's a good chance you've seen me wandering this gem of an area, ensconced behind the high school and within walking distance for many of our residents. Our parks and trails system is a contributor to our quality of life and our hometown feel in Rosemount.

You can find a map of Carroll’s Woods on the city’s website.

According to the city, this 44 acre park has the following history:

“Carroll’s Woods was named after Don and Mary Carroll who owned the property and operated a dairy farm there until they sold the property to the city. Access to Carroll’s Woods can be found off of Cobbler Avenue, Clover Lane, from Schwarz Pond Park, and from Rosemount High School. Carroll’s Woods features both paved and natural trails through a rolling woodland. Native wildflowers can be found in the park.”

Every now and then, a visitor might join you on the trails!

You can sometimes find an inspirational message on the bridge connecting Carroll’s Woods to Schwarz Pond Park area.
